What STFU is

STFU is a wellness, productivity, and digital-habit tool. It helps you set boundaries around social apps and websites, see time you get back, and optionally participate in points, streaks, and challenges.

What STFU is not

STFU is not a medical device. It is not a mental-health treatment, therapy, or diagnostic product. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, disorder, or condition — including anxiety, depression, ADHD, insomnia, or addiction as clinical terms.

How we talk about science

The Science page discusses research themes around compulsive use, attention, sleep, and short-form media. That discussion is educational. It is not a claim that STFU reverses “brain damage,” heals a condition, or is clinically validated as a treatment.

“Brain rot” is cultural slang, not a diagnosis. We use it as a hook, then get precise.

If you need care

If you are in crisis or think you may have a clinical condition, contact a licensed professional or local emergency services. STFU is not a crisis service and does not provide medical advice.

No guaranteed results

People differ. Blocking apps may help some users build better boundaries and may not help others. We do not guarantee more sleep, better focus, income from rewards, or any particular health outcome.
